Want to take your next step in your faith and get baptized at PCC? Join us for our night of worship and baptisms on June 23rd, at 7:00 PM.

Jesus stated in the Great Commission “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Scripture teaches that baptism is done as a profession of faith and in obedience to our Lord’s command. We believe that water baptism by immersion is the next step for a person who has received Jesus Christ as Savior and is committed to following Him.

What is baptism?
Baptism is a profession of faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. It symbolizes the transforming work of God’s Spirit in the life of a believer. “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

Why be baptized?
Baptism is an act of obedience by a believer responding to the command of Jesus. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).

Who should be baptized?
Every person who has professed their faith in Jesus Christ and is committed to following Him. (Acts 2:37-41)

When and how to be baptized?
Scripture states that those who had become Christians were immediately baptized as a profession of faith. (Acts 9:18-19, 10:47-48, 16:27-33, etc.) Therefore, there is no reason for a Christian to delay or postpone getting baptized.
